"Little Stinky" Gentoo Penguin Chick (Pygoscelis papua)

Neko Harbor, Antarctica

This little gentoo penguin chick totally captured my heart as it wandered aimlessly around the nesting site at Neko Harbor. Covered in guano, it was poked and prodded by other chicks and adults. It is all part of being a penguin in this harsh, unforgiving environment.
