Western Gulls (Larus occidentalis)
Morro Bay, California
COP 2019 WORKSHOP PARTICIPANT NOTES:
Often overlooked by photographers, gulls make wonderful subjects and in this case it was worth the wait as we watched this juvenile Western Gull pester its parent for food. Continually maintaining focus on the juvenile, I waited for interesting behavior before I pressed the shutter and fired off a few images. I also slightly cropped the image so the birds were centered.
