About the Photographer

Originally from the UK, I have spent the majority of my adult life in the United States and now make California's rugged, central coast my home. I could not ask for a more beautiful location, with its spectacular scenery and abundance of birds and wildlife!

A certified California naturalist, I love to be involved in environmental causes and activities. This includes efforts to protect the Western Snowy Plover and the Black Oystercatcher.

My images have supported numerous organizations including: Audubon California, the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory, Global Penguin Society and the Wildlife Conservation Network.

Although my main interest lies in photography and conservation along the California coast, I particularly enjoy visiting the polar regions as a resident photographer and lecturer with G Adventures.

I am also an occasional guest host on specialized photography theme cruises with UnCruise Adventures, having visited Alaska, Costa Rica & Panama and Mexico's Sea of Cortés.

In addition to small group workshops, I offer private tours and tuition along the central California coast.  As a local, I am able to guide photographers to prime locations often overlooked by visitors.

A polished public speaker, I am available to present on a variety of topics relating to photography and conservation. To license images or for contract projects and assignments, please direct inquiries via my CONTACT page or by calling or texting: 408-813-2953
